If you thought apprenticeships were only for engineers and people who work with their hands, think again

Each year Neopost are committed to take up to six apprentices – in a variety of areas, including Business Administration, Human Resources and Customer Service.
 

Over the last five years we have recruited 46 apprentices so far and look to take on more in the near future. We have a very high rate of apprentices completing the program. Over 70% of our apprentices have secured permanent positions at the end of their apprenticeship and the remainder going off to alternative employment. Last year alone 3 apprentices secured permanent positions at Neopost following completion of their training. We have demonstrable evidence that the young people we’ve brought into our scheme have been eager to learn and motivated to succeed which in turn enables us to retain them in the workforce.

An apprenticeship is a chance for you to earn while you learn – helping you develop practical and business skills, rather than just the theory that so many college courses limit themselves to. You will still work towards a level 2 NVQ as part of the deal, through our education partner, Academy of Learning. We’ll pay you £9,000 a year; significantly more than the £2.60 per hour minimum wage, which is the norm for apprenticeships.At the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have a qualification, significant business experience, and cash in the bank!

Apprenticeship for England Employer Awards

On Thursday, 25th Feb, a team of our Apprentices, Managers and Exec members attending the Apprenticeships 4 England Employer Awards ceremony at the Emirates Stadium. Neopost UK was up against some incredibly tough opponents, but the great news is, we won the Highly Commended award in our category (Employer Award 101 – 750). The Awards celebrate the achievements  of quality training providers and employers.  We have had a great track record with our Apprenticeship Scheme since its introduction in 2009 and being selected as a finalist is recognition of its continued success.  

Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers List 

In 2012 Neopost were recognised in the second Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list, announced at National Apprenticeship Awards at The Skills Show in Birmingham on 14th November. The prestigious Top 100 list, compiled by the National Apprenticeship Service in partnership with City & Guilds, recognises excellence in businesses that employ apprentices. After a rigorous selection process the most outstanding Apprenticeship employers from all four National Apprenticeship Awards employer categories (ranging from small to macro sized business) went forward to feature in the list, which showcases the breadth of employers who now offer Apprenticeships.
