MiniMailer - FAQ's

The Neopost Folder Inserter known as a MiniMailer or SmartStart machine which you use for processing your letters has now been in the market place for more than 10 years. The age of the machine and the decline in availability of spare parts prevent us from meeting our future contractual obligations and therefore Neopost Ltd has taken the decision to stop the technical support of this model from midnight on the 31st January.

Your Neopost Account Manager will be in contact with you shortly to discuss what happens next and  the options that are available to you. In the meantime, please find the FAQ’s below relating to this matter:

What happens if I don’t need my machine anymore will Neopost collect the machine?

If you no longer use your machine and would like us to collect and dispose of the machine we can arrange this. Please email into withdrawalteam@neopost.co.uk supplying the serial number of the machine, we will then be in contact to book the machine collection. Please note we do charge £75+VAT for this service.

Will I still be able to order supplies for my machine after the 31/01/2015?

We will continue to be able to supply the complete Neopost range of envelopes and consumables including brushes, cloths and sealing solution for these machines.  All of these products can also be used with newer folder inserter models. Please contact our Supplies team on 0845 8800 002 who will be happy to discuss the available options.

I have an existing service agreement for my machine which extends beyond 31/01/2015, what will happen to this?

We will apply a pro-rata refund for any unused contract period.  We will contact you shortly to discuss this further.

What will happen if my machine breaks down after the 31st January 2015?

If you have a breakdown, our telephone support team will not be able to offer advice and we will not be able to send an engineer. If you need to continue using a folder inserter in your business your Account Manager will be pleased to discuss your requirements.

Why has Neopost taken the decision to stop supporting MiniMailer/SmartStart machines?

These models have not been manufactured for many years and therefore the lack of availability of spare parts means that Neopost is unable to fulfil future contractual obligations.
