Franking Ink Cartridge Recycling Programme
One more step towards a better environment
One of Neopost Limited's environmental objectives is to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
The ink used in Neopost Limited cartridges is specially formulated to comply with Royal Mail specifications and is not classified as hazardous to the environment. This means that the empty ink cartridges can be safely disposed of through the general waste system. However, the plastic and other materials that are included in the cartridges would be likely to be sent to landfill sites.
Neopost Limited has recently developed and implemented a new system to recycle empty address printer and franking machine ink cartridges. These are returned by customers so the materials they are made of can be broken down and recycled to make new parts and equipment.
The process is easy to use and free for customers. Place the empty cartridges into the Returns Envelope (enclosed with your new ink cartridge) without their cardboard packaging and post it back, free of charge.
The envelope is quite spacious and can hold a number of cartridges. This is to encourage customers to send more than one empty ink cartridge back at a time and therefore help to reduce the environmental impact and carbon footprint of the transport used.
