PPI may soon start to cost you more!
Did you know that PPI customers will now be charged £5 per posting docket, even if the postage amount is under £5!
This change will directly impact many PPI users whose mail quantities may vary throughout the week. This could lead to:
- Postal expenditure increases as charged a minimum postal value price for mail worth less than £5
- Delays in business processing and invoicing as mail is held back until minimum postage value of £5 is reached
In the near future, Royal Mail will also be increasing the Minimum Order Value (MOV), for paper posting cheques only, to £20.
At the same time, Royal Mail will be introducing a £1 handling fee for every paper posting cheque received, regardless of value.
Orders placed electronically will remain at the £5 MOV.
