Neopost employees vote Great Ormond Street Hospital as their 'Charity of the Year'
Romford (UK), 18th January, 2012. Neopost Limited, Europe's leading supplier of mailroom equipment and software, including franking machines and letter folding and inserting equipment, announced today that their chosen charity for 2012 is Great Ormond Street Hospital, the country's leading centre for treating sick children.
Chris Burns, HR Director at Neopost, said, "For Neopost to decide on who is nominated as our charity of the year we consider a number of things. Is it relevant to employees? Is it a national charity or local to our Head Office in Romford? Great Ormond Street Hospital ticks all the boxes for us."
Several Neopost employees recently paid a visit to the Hospital and met Martin Harris, Senior Fundraising Executive at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, who commented;
"We would like to thank all the staff at Neopost for their support and choosing us to benefit from their fundraising. The money will help us to continue to work with children across the UK and indeed the world, with serious and often life threatening conditions.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a world-class children's hospital, with the broadest range of paediatric specialists under one roof anywhere in the UK. The hospital welcome around 175,000 patient visits each year, treating patients with the most complex, life-threatening or life-limiting conditions. We need to raise £50 million every year to help rebuild and refurbish Great Ormond Street Hospital, buy vital equipment and fund pioneering research. Thank you for your support; we couldn't do it without you."
Neopost supported Diabetes UK during 2011 and raised an amazing £11,600 from various fund raising events throughout the year. So far they have raised £3,600 for Great Ormond Street Hospital with an initial £2,000 donation, with further fundraising events planned for the coming months.
